Gibbs Connors: Human Font Book

Temple Contemporary is working with Mural Arts to recover and restore old building graphics that are still in use to promote existing small businesses in Philadelphia. We have invited signmaker Gibbs Connors to help restore the sign for Hermann Henssler Locksmith at 13^th and Girard, a family-owned business in its third generation that has stood at the corner since 1898. Connors will be demonstrating his expertise in the traditional craft of signmaking at Temple Contemporary, in preparation for the upcoming restoration.
